SURVIVAL

Survival is described to be the struggle to remain alive. Survival isn't just about fighting disease, being abadoned in the wilderness, survival occurs in all aspects of life. I know this because the struggle of school, sleep, family, friends and extra-curricular activites as well as rest is a hard thing to balance. I want to be able to describe to you what traits it takes to be a survivor in this blog and help indicate that you're a survivor in your own right. "Survival of the fittest." is a quote stated by Herbert Spencer and is somewhat true, you have to have the will to survive, the right mindset. In this blog I'd like to talk about my personal experiences of survival which my not seem as severe as I'd like to talk about the survival of my life from when I was born to the day I'm writing this blog. I would also like to talk about what people would consider true survival, in terms of life or death situations, whether it be climbing Mount Everest or hiking throught the Amazon forest, there isn't that big of a disparity between normal student life survival and life or death.

Seneca the Philsopher once quoted, "Sometimes even to live is an act of courage."
